Inspired by the “Marvin the Martian” character, Pine green suede is brought forward by the perforated matte black fabrics used on the toe box, side panels and rear panels to create the image of Martian. The pattern seen on the swoosh and inner lining was first thought to be Safari print but also serves to replicate the cratered surface of Mars.
