Many University of Florida students have been impacted by fellow student Lamar Abel and his tragic, untimely death. The University will be hosting a meeting tonight to allow students a forum to share thoughts, feelings and memories of Lamar. The meeting will take place at 7:00 in the J. Wayne Reitz Union Room 361. There will be university counselors present to facilitate discussion, as well as staff from Multicultural & Diversity Affairs and the Center for Student Activities & Involvement, including Sorority and Fraternity Affairs. Tonight’s meeting will not be a memorial celebration, rather an opportunity to informally come together as friends and brothers of Lamar. Plans for a campus memorial celebration will be planned in the coming weeks. Please feel free to share these details with fellow students, and we look forward to seeing you tonight.
